A little about me…
Hey there! I’m Mairi, a product designer thinking outside the box (literally!) at Walmart Labs. I design experiences that move goods to the store and onto shelves for millions of Americans.
As a designer, I’m driven to create aesthetic, simple, innovative products that meet the triple bottom line of people, planet, and profit. I’m inspired by working in collaborative environments with people who aren’t afraid to challenge the status quo.
Before becoming a designer, I worked as a grassroots environmental organizer where I persuaded people to care about important issues not at the forefront of their minds. I leverage this experience everyday as an advocate for my users.
In my free time, you can find me shamelessly applying a gradient, snapping pics with my grampa’s Rollei, dancing like Elaine to an indie pop playlist, valuing imperfect action over perfectionism, running 3 to 5 minutes late for spin class, making something out of resin, appreciating a surrealist meme, or getting a little too competitive in Bananagrams.
